We’re already one month into 2014! Have you stuck with your New Year’s resolutions? If you need to get back on track, give us a call. We can get you on the road to health and get you back to doing the things you love.
Speaking of resolutions, are you trying to get away from drinking pop? Here’s some extra motivation for you: if you drink one can of Coke a day for a whole year that adds up to 51,000 calories and 26 pounds of sugar! For Mountain Dew, that ends up being 32 pounds of sugar. One of the best rules of weight loss is to not drink your calories. You are what you drink!
The chances are great that if you are reading this you have arthritis in some joint in your body. There is quite a bit of confusion out there on what arthritis is and what you can do about it. If you are interested in learning more, check out our recent blog post. Physical Therapy is one of the most effective treatments for arthritis, so give us a call to get started on your road to health.
Have you checked out all the info on our new website yet? There’s a ton of helpful information available for new patients, current patients, and those just curious about physical and occupational therapy. If you have an upcoming surgery and are curious about what you’re in for, we even have a page on our site for patient education about various surgeries like total knee replacement, rotator cuff repair, and spinal surgery.
Did you know that all of our clinics offer free sports screens for athletes of all ages? If you have a sports injury and aren’t sure if physical therapy would help, give us a call. We’ll let you know if therapy would help, or if further medical care is needed.
The recipe of the month is hummus. If you’ve never had hummus before, you’re missing out. It’s great with flatbread or as a dip for veggies, and there are many other recipes out there if you want to try something different.
